Danielle Needham
Manager
I have been working in childcare for 18 Years and have been a manager for eleven. As the Manager for Country Day Nurseries I enjoy working with the staff to achieve the best outcomes for children in our care as well as implementing new initiatives. I completed my BA Hons in Early Childhood Education in 2016 and have enjoyed putting everything I learned into practise.
I am married and have a son and daughter. My son used to thoroughly enjoy exploring the nursery grounds at Country Day as well and going to feed the horses. My daughter has been enjoying all the new activities and resources on offer since she started at six months old. It takes a lot of trust to leave your child in the hands of someone else and I have so much trust in my team that I never worry!
In the future I am looking forward to watching the nursery grow and evolve into the most amazing place for children to grow up.
Janette Noyes
Office Manager
I’ve been the Office Manager at Country Day Nurseries since May 2016, having spent most of my career in publishing. Working in a nursery is a world away from that corporate environment, but I love the diversity that this role brings. It’s lovely to work in an office surrounded by woodland and wildlife, and to hear children playing happily outside.
My main role is dealing with fees, government funding and related queries.
I am married and have two sons and three grandsons, who I love to spend time with. In my spare time I enjoy countryside walks and going to the theatre and concerts.
Jodie Bavister
Deputy Manager & Bluebells Room Lead
I have been working with children for the last fourteen years and I have worked my way up to be the Deputy manager. I have always enjoyed watching children grow and develop and just knew that this was the right job for me! I am currently studying for my BA (Honours) in Early Childhood with the Open University.
I enjoy being outside in the fresh air and exploring the environment around me. We are so fortunate to have a great outdoor space including a woodland area, pirate ship garden and a nature trail. We can take the children for a walk around the village and exploring the wildlife that is around us.
I have four nephews who I enjoy looking after and taking them on special days out. I have one cat and two large ponds which my nephews enjoy feeding the fish and watching them grow.
Sam
Third in Charge & Little Acorns Room Lead
My name is Sam I am the room lead in Little Acorns and third in charge. I have worked for the nursery for over 5 years. I have worked in all of the rooms while gaining my level 3 qualification and this helped support my learning and development. I am currently working on my level 3 qualification in leadership and management which I was encouraged to take on to support my senior roles.
I have found working in Little Acorns by fair my happiest as I get to see the children grow, developing their individual characters as well as helping new children to make new friends and their family feel comfortable leaving their children with us. I enjoy making memories with all the children, taking the children to our lovely woodlands and feeding the birds looking for rabbits and even the odd cow in the next field
I have three older children of my own so in my spare time is spend it with them doing things such as weekend football matches to cooking as a family and walking our dogs.
Paris
Big Acorns Room Lead
Hello my name is Paris and I am the room leader of Big Acorns. I went to college for two years when I left school where I gained my level 3 childcare qualification and I have now been working in childcare for 7 years experiencing working in all age ranges in a nursery setting. I have also had experience in managing my previous setting where I learnt and gained lots of experience such as Designated Safeguarding Lead training.
I live at home with my family and with my two cats. In my spare time I enjoy playing darts in a local league and I like going out shopping and going to music concerts.
My favourite thing about working at Country Day Nursery is building bonds with the children, building up their confidence and helping them learn important life skills before they move onto big school. Also having fun when creating exciting activities for the children to experience both indoors and outdoors.
